30 Days of United Prayer for CCS

We desire to see our community changed for the better because of the love and support we can provide as the body of Christ. We believe that as a coalition of Christian ministries we should invite the body of Christ to engage in prayer for our emerging generations in three ways.

  1. Unite in prayer for students and teachers
  2. Invite people to pray for 30 days following the prayer guide
  3. Encourage believers of all ages and from all walks of life to continue to pray for our school.

Day 1 - Hope

Thank God that our hope for CCS and its students is not a "maybe" or a "perhaps," but a certainty, based on His character and promises.

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him." The Lord is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him.
Lamentations 3:2-25
Day 2 - Confidence in Prayer

Thank God for the assurance of answered prayers as we pray His purposes into reality, that His Kingdom come and His will be done on Earth (in CCS, among students, and in our nation) as it is in heaven.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of Him.
1 John 5:14-15
Day 3 - Pride & Prayerlessness

Repent of our tendency to make plans for reaching students for Christ and asking God to bless those plans, rather than going to Him in prayer for His plans, then responding in obedience.

"Woe to the obstinate children," declares the Lord, "to those who carry out plans that are not Mine, forming an alliance, but not by My Spirit, heaping sin upon sin."
Isaiah 30:1
Day 4 - Assurance

Thank God for the assurance that His purposes will prevail, and He will reach the emerging generations, bringing them salvation, deliverance, healing, freedom, and fullness of Kingdom life.

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
Habakkuk 2:14
Day 5 - Identity in Christ

Ask God to show Christian students who they are in the eyes of their Father - beloved, created with a purpose and destiny, objects of His continued affection and blessing.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.
Ephesians 1:3-4
Day 6 - Spiritual Growth & Maturity Among Christian Students

Appeal to God for spiritual growth and fruitfulness among students of all ages.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.
Ephesians 1:17
Day 7 - Wise Moral & Ethical Choices

Ask God to empower Christian students to stand strong in a culture of moral/ethical relativism.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ.
Philippians 1:9-10
Day 8 - Healing from Abuse, Fatherlessness

Pray for healing of students wounded by abuse, fatherlessness, and family dysfunction; pray for the reconciliation and restoration of damaged families.

You hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted; You encourage them, and You listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.
Psalm 10:17-18
Day 9 - Freedom from Addictions and Bondage

Ask God to break the yokes of slavery to addictions, immorality, and pornography on Christian students, empowering them by His Spirit to live in freedom and victory.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery...live by the Spirit...
Galatians 5:1, 16
Day 10 - A Clear, Bold Testimony

Pray for a strong witness - lifestyle and words - by Christian students at school and with their peers.

Pray for me also, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel...pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
Ephesians 6:19-20
Day 11 - Christlike Character

Ask God to show children, teens, and young adults that character matters, no matter what the age.

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12
Day 12 - Student-Led Campus Clubs

Ask God to work through prayer-based, student-led campus clubs on every school campus in the country. Pray for the students who lead in clubs such as FCA.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Colossians 4:2
Day 13 - Unity Among Christians

Pray for a spirit of unity across all denominational, organizational, ethnic, gender, and socio-economic barriers.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 15:5-6
Day 14 - Removal of Blindness

Pray that the spiritual blindness generated by the enemy would be lifted so students might see Jesus as He really is, and clearly hear the good news of the godpwl of the Kingdom.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
2 Corinthians 4:4
Day 15 - Divine Favor

Pray for divine favor for Christian students amoung their peers, teachers, and in their homes.

For surely, O Lord, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:12
And Jesus Grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
Luke 2:52
Day 16 - School Leadership: Teachers, Prinipals, Coaches, Administrators

Pray that Christians in leadership positions at schools would see afresh, and embrace anew, the strategic ministry God has given them.

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
1 Timothy 2:1-2
Day 17 - Creative Divine Strategies for Reaching Campuses

Ask God to give students visions, dreams, and creativity for advancing the Kingdom on campus and among their peers.

In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. You sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions.
Acts 2:17
Day 18 - Campus Missionaries

Ask God to open the eyes of those who work with students, so that they can see the lost, broken, and wounded with the eyes of Jesus.

Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field."
Matthew 9:38
Day 19 - Spiritually Healthy Families

Ask God to raise up Christian parents committed to raising their children in godly homes; pray for broken relationships to be healed.

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
Deuteronomy 5:6-9
Day 20 - Deceptive Moral Philosophies

Ask God to give students a childlike faith, and words by His Spirit to disarm those who champion worldly philosophies and morality.

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
Colossians 2:8
Day 21 - Colleges/Universities

Historically, revivals/awakenings have most always started among young people, and especially among collegians. Pray that God would ignite a fresh awakening among collegians - one that would spread across America, and the world.

Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lordmay spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.
2 Thessalonians 3:3
Day 22 - Students Losing Faith in the High School/College Transition

Pray that Christ-following students would become deeply rooted in their faith, and not only survive, but thrive in, the transition to college.

But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
Mark 4:17
Day 23 - Civil Unrest, Escalating Racial Tension, Increased Violence

Ask God to raise up young healers, deliverers, reconcilers, and intercessors (lit. "those who stand in the gap") in schools across our land.

And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night?
Luke 18:7a
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
Daniel 12:3
Day 24 - Ongoing Political Turmoil

Appeal to God for the emerging generations, that they would respect and intercede for those in authority over them yet live as citizens of heaven who serve an eternal King.

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority.
1 Timothy 2:1-2
The Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone He wishes.
Daniel 4:25b
Day 25 - Ministers to the Emerging Generations

Ask God to open the eyes of those who work with young people, so that they can see the lost, broken, and wounded with the eyes of Jesus, and to be moved with His compassion to reach out.

When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Matthew 9:36
Day 26 - Primary Schools

Most people who come to Christ do so before their teen years. Pray for a mighty spiritual harvest among the children of our nation.

And He said, "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in My name welcomes Me.
Matthew 18:3-5
Day 27 - Secondary Schools

Today's youth culture is a "wild frontier" of moral and ethical ambiguity. Pray for the protection of Christian students, and the rescue of those who do not yet know Christ.

With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of His calling, and that by His power He may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.
2 Thessalonians 1:11
Day 28 - A Generation of Intercessors

Ask God to stir the hearts of both students and those who work with them to pray as never before for an awakening among the unreached people group of the emerging generations of American students!

They all met together and were constantly united in prayer.
Acts 1:14
Day 29 - Ministers to the Emerging Generations

Ask God to open the eyes of those who work with young people, so that they can see the lost, broken, and wounded with the eyes of Jesus, and to be moved with His compassion to reach out.

When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Matthew 9:36
Day 30 - Primary Schools

Most people who come to Christ do so before their teen years. Pray for a mighty spiritual harvest among the children of our nation.

And He said, "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in My name welcomes Me.
Matthew 18:3-5
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Thank you for your commitment to praying for CCS, our administration, our teachers, and our students! We believe that God will do a great work in CCS as hearts are turned towards His grace and mercy. It is our continued prayer that God will break the bondage experienced by so many in our community and, in turn, redeem this country for the sake of Christ.

Keep Praying!!
